Our goal does not involve only handouts, but we want to give in such a way that it will revolutionize people’s lives, eventually revolutionize an entire nation. Although we are beginning in Benin, we know that is not where it ends. We are going to take this vision and dream globally and change lives and nations, plural. We focus on basic needs such as, clean water, education, medical needs and work on projects to meet those needs.
In addition, we have a burden for the orphaned through sex trafficking, slave labor, AIDS, whatever, and desire to build safe havens for them. If along the way we are able to do projects involving giving soccer equipment away, tooth brushes, hygiene kits, working with other sustainable projects, that would be awesome. One sustainable project is the cashew factory, which alone could change the economy of Benin. It would use the natural resource of the cashew trees to employ thousands of people in Benin, providing work for generations. This project has the potential to raise a nation out of poverty.
Projects for Progress (PFP) started in July 2008. We are a community-development non-profit working in Benin, West Africa with the goal of becoming world wide. We focus on education, clean water, medical facilities, and sex trafficking/child labor. We desire to meet the very basic physical needs of the communities with the end result of meeting their spiritual needs.
